Stantec is looking for a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design for critical infrastructure and non-infrastructure water projects across the UK. You will be based in London, Reading, or High Wycombe, and work across the full project lifecycle from initial concept to construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems and pumping stations.
- Manage feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design packages, site surveys and investigations.
- Collaborate closely with clients, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Mentorship and guidance of junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
- Extensive experience in water industry design, with experience in design for construction a plus.
- Chartered status or active pursuit of Chartered status is desirable.
- Experience working with or closely with delivery contractors is highly beneficial.
