The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic temporary maternity cover Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire and to support the store team to ensure the smooth running of the store in accordance with company procedures. Store Assistant duties include selling, restocking and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and increase the company's growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick customers' orders
  • Ensure all products are clean and correctly priced
  • Stock is put out on shelf to company procedures
  • Count stock accurately
  • Use of till / Retailer
  • Pack all orders in line with the company procedures
  • Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched
  • Answer the phone
  • Invoicing of orders through the till system
  • Keep up to date with all promotional activity
  • Merchandising within the company guidelines
  • Build on customer telephone orders
  • Assist with deliveries of stock coming into store
  • Transfer stock in/out to stores/suppliers
  • Help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Make deliveries to salons within your area when necessary
  • Maintain a fully stocked store
  • Ascertain customers' needs and wants
  • Welcome and greet customers
  • Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments
  • Keep up to date with product information
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Store Assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours and Job Location:

The working hours for this role are 36.75 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.15am - 1.00pm. Location: 216 Straight Mile Road, Rotherwas, Hereford, HR2 6BQ.

Compensation & Benefits:
