Are you a great listener? Do you love to help solve problems? Can you help people by taking complex, technical information and translating it for people who are vulnerable and in crisis? We are working with an amazing mission-led organisation to support them in finding a great Helpline Advisor. The role would see you using those great listening and problem-solving skills to support people in crisis and vulnerable individuals. There is an opportunity to work remotely, visiting the London office on average 6 times per year for training and colleague days. If you prefer to be office-based, that is also possible depending upon your location. You will work with other advisors to support each other and increase your learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple referrals at any one time.
  • Ensuring that the information you provide is correct and fully understood during conversations with clients.
  • Learning which cases to refer to other areas and not owning casework.
  • Participating in training and gaining support to get up to speed in this hugely impactful role.
  • Supporting fellow advisors and increasing learning together.

Qualifications:

  • Clear and reassuring telephone manner.
  • Capacity to communicate complex information in a simple, client-friendly manner.
  • Great listening and problem-solving skills.
