Role Overview
The Health & Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards across Cubis Systems, specifically at our Tallington site. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, and works closely with site teams to reduce risk and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure site activities align with current health and safety legislation, company policies, and group SHEQ frameworks.
- Provide guidance to teams on safe working practices and support the consistent application of standards across the site.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety Management System to meet ISO requirements and remain audit ready.
- Regularly review and update HSE documentation to reflect legislative changes and best practice.
- Work with operational teams to develop, review and implement risk assessments and method statements.
- Proactively identify potential hazards through observation and employee engagement.
- Conduct routine inspections to monitor compliance and track corrective actions.
- Accurately record, investigate and report incidents in line with company and legal requirements.
- Analyse incident data to identify trends and recommend targeted actions.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programmes; maintain accurate training records.
- Support audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance demonstration.
- Compile and present regular safety performance reports with key metrics and improvement actions.
- Act as a point of contact for H&S queries at site level and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 45001 / integrated management systems.
- Experience supporting audits and inspections.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation (UK/ROI).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- High level IT skills including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access.
