Role Purpose
The Motor channel is a core part of MSM's Insurance vertical, and this high impact leadership role provides end to end ownership of commercial performance across the Motor channel.
As Head of Commercial - Motor, you will lead an integrated commercial function, driving revenue, partner performance, and MSM's market position, while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong governance.
Responsibilities
- Own the performance, strategy and growth of the Motor channel, delivering on revenue, margin and growth targets.
- Lead trading strategy and execution, using insight and data to identify opportunities, close gaps, and maximise ROI.
- Build and execute a clear channel and partner roadmap, aligned to overall business strategy.
- Develop and manage senior partner relationships, delivering joint plans and new revenue opportunities.
- Lead cross functional initiatives to improve conversion rates, proposition, and market competitiveness.
- Ensure strong governance, regulatory compliance and financial controls, delivering good customer outcomes.
- Inspire, develop and lead a high performing team, embedding accountability, pace and ownership.
- Act as a key member of the Insurance leadership team, shaping and delivering the wider commercial agenda.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including key commercial drivers, market dynamics and partner landscape.
- Experience within Ecommerce and/or Financial Services in a commercially driven environment.
- Understanding of price comparison platforms, trading levers, ranking and conversion dynamics.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulatory requirements, especially regarding insurance products and customer outcomes.
- Proven experience leading channel trading and owning commercial performance, including revenue growth and optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead strategic partner relationships, delivering joint commercial success.
- Strong commercial judgement and decision making capability, balancing short term performance with long term value creation.
- Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Experience leading and developing high performing teams.
- Ability to translate data and insight into clear commercial strategy and action.
- Experience in high growth or transformation environments, driving change and continuous improvement.
