Are you passionate about preparing nutritious, balanced meals that support children's health and wellbeing? As a Cook, you will play a key role in our school catering service, helping to provide high-quality meals that fuel learning, boost concentration, and encourage positive attitudes towards food.
Mealtimes are an important part of the school day, offering children the chance to socialise and build healthy habits - and your contribution will help make this a positive experience for every pupil.
This is an open-ended position, working 30 hours per week, term time only.
What will you do?
- Prepare and cook a range of meals in line with set menus.
- Support the delivery of an efficient and effective catering service.
- Assist with food preparation, service, and kitchen organisation.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Support stock control and safe storage of ingredients.
What are we looking for?
- A recognised catering qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Previous experience in a catering environment and good cooking skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and commitment to high standards.
- Welsh language skills are desirable.
