Windmill Nursery School is looking for a qualified and experienced Nursery Manager to cover maternity leave for 12 months, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary is £16.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

About you:

  • You are a Level 3 or above qualified Nursery Manager who leads by example and inspires others.
  • You support and encourage the natural curiosity of young children while motivating your team.
  • You have a nurturing openness and care about education standards for young children in the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Being an intrinsic part of the nursery management team, ensuring the setting has the right staff, culture, policies, and resources.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in learning and teaching techniques.
  • Embracing inclusivity to meet the individual needs of all children.
  • Encouraging a love of learning through high-quality teaching under the EYFS framework.
  • Leading, motivating, and inspiring educators, managing staff ratios, attracting new hires, and providing development opportunities.
  • Deputising for the Nursery Manager during their absence.

What you'll need:

  • A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent.
  • Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar.
  • A strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities, ideally within Early Years.
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
