Overview

402 (Gravesend) Squadron RAF Air Cadets supports young people aged 12-20 through aviation, leadership, adventure training, community engagement and personal development.

We are looking for adult volunteers to support the running of the Squadron and help provide positive opportunities for young people in the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Support parade nights.
  • Assist with activities.
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Support events and activities.
  • Help with equipment or logistics.
  • Bring specialist skills that could benefit cadets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Leadership and teamwork.
  • Positive attitude and good judgement.
  • Patience and ability to act appropriately in a youth organisation.
  • Communication, organisation and planning skills.
  • Basic IT skills - internet and email.
  • UK full driving licence (for driving duties).
  • First aid and outdoor activity skills.
  • Experience in youth work, coaching or mentoring (welcome but not essential).
