We are looking for a proactive and hands‑on Maintenance & Facilities Technician to join our client's well‑established and reputable team. The position includes responsibility for general building maintenance, workshop organisation, and supporting operational improvements across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong practical maintenance and DIY skills who enjoys a varied role.

Working Hours

Monday- Thursday 8am- 4.30pm
Friday 8am- 1pm

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, maintaining site standards, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the business.
  • Carry out general building maintenance, PPMs, reactive maintenance, and fault finding
  • Conduct daily Health & Safety, housekeeping, and 5S checks
  • Identify, report, and resolve maintenance issues and hazards
  • Maintain workshop, stores, maintenance records, and stock levels
  • Support production teams, engineers, and the Factory Manager with maintenance and facilities tasks
  • Source and order maintenance parts and consumables
  • Participate in site inspections and continuous improvement activities
  • Drive company vehicles to collect and deliver parts and products as required

Requirements

  • Must have full clean UK driving license
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or facilities maintenance environment
  • General building maintenance experience including painting, plumbing, carpentry, or minor repairs
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
  • Basic mechanical engineering and general building maintenance/DIY skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
  • Good organisational, communication, and basic IT skills
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
