Part‑time - Monday, Tuesday, Friday; £85 – £101 per day; Location - ‘Good’ primary school, Ward of Selly Oak; 1:1 and small group support across Year 5.

The Role

Provide part‑time support across a Year 5 class, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them stay engaged and make progress. Reinforce learning in English, Maths, and wider curriculum subjects, support class routines, prepare simple resources, and work closely with the class teacher to help pupils build confidence in their learning.

The Candidate

  • You are organised, encouraging, and able to explain ideas clearly to older primary pupils.
  • You want meaningful classroom experience, enjoy helping children build confidence in their work, and are keen to develop the practical skills needed for a future in teaching.

Requirements

  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long‑term career in education.
