We are currently seeking a dedicated Band 2 Receptionist to join our community drug and alcohol team in Gosport, with flexibility to provide cover in Havant and Fareham as required. You will be the first point of contact for service users, carers, and professionals visiting our hub. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll support administrative functions and deliver a warm, efficient reception service within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job:

  • Provide a high-quality reception service for service users, families, and external visitors
  • Deliver full administrative and secretarial support to the Inclusion team
  • Answer calls and respond to enquiries in a professional and confidential manner
  • Maintain filing systems and assist with managing correspondence
  • Support meetings by preparing documentation and taking minutes as required
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, maintain office stock, and operate petty cash
  • Use IT systems (including ILLY and Microsoft packages) to enter data and generate reports
  • Work flexibly across our hubs in Aldershot and Basingstoke

Job responsibilities:

You'll be working closely with recovery workers, medical staff, volunteers, and external agencies, helping ensure a smooth experience for those accessing our services. Your role will include administrative duties, welcoming visitors, managing stock, and maintaining accurate service records. You'll also contribute to audits and maintain confidentiality at all times. We are looking for someone who is confident with IT, can multitask, and thrives in a supportive, recovery-focused environment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

  • Previous admin/reception experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare or drug and alcohol setting

Skills:

  • Competence using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
