We are looking for an experienced Regional Engineering Manager to lead and manage regional mobile and on-site engineering teams across a corporate office and data centre estate. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, compliant facilities maintenance and engineering-led projects across multiple sites. You will provide strategic direction for asset care, ensure statutory and client compliance, and act as a senior technical authority across mechanical and electrical services. Safety, performance, and service excellence will be at the heart of everything you do.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage Lead Engineers, M&E Engineers and Mobile Engineers across the region
- Develop and deliver an effective asset care and maintenance strategy, driving continuous improvement in engineering performance
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with statutory regulations, client standards, and internal governance requirements
- Provide leadership for mechanical and electrical engineering services including power, water, heating, cooling and building fabric
- Take a lead role in delivering engineering capital projects from concept through to completion
- Provide technical expertise on the design, procurement and lifecycle management of utilities and engineering equipment
- Prepare, manage and control engineering budgets, monitoring spend against plan
- Develop, implement and continuously improve engineering processes, including RAMS, SOPs and safe systems of work
- Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate, compliant and maintained
- Manage critical incidents, ensuring agreed response times are met and clear communication is maintained with both client and internal stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with client site leads to agree, monitor and report against service level agreements
- Act as a visible advocate for health, safety and environmental compliance across the client estate
Qualifications
- City & Guilds or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- IOSH qualified
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience delivering engineering services within a corporate or critical environment
- Strong background in facilities maintenance and engineering strategy
- Experience leading engineering teams across multi-site portfolios
- Project management experience, including capital works
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and understand P&L
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
