We are delighted to be opening The Ivy Asia in Glasgow. At The Ivy Asia, dining is theatre. From striking interiors and iconic illuminated glass floors to soulful music, live entertainment, and an energy charged atmosphere, every detail is designed to create an unforgettable experience. As day turns to night, the restaurant transforms: flames rise from the kitchen, exotic aromas fill the air, and the room comes alive. This is hospitality at its most vibrant, immersive, and ambitious.

As we bring The Ivy Asia to Glasgow, we are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead this landmark opening from the very beginning. This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, build and inspire a best in class team, and establish a restaurant recognised for outstanding guest experience, operational excellence, and commercial success. We are seeking a charismatic and commercially driven leader with a proven track record within premium, luxury, or high volume hospitality. Someone who thrives in fast paced environments, leads with presence and passion, and understands how to create a culture where both people and performance flourish.

Key elements of your role as a General Manager

  • Understand the guest and how to efficiently manage their expectations.
  • To have a great front of house presence, be a leader and inspire your team.
  • Fully understand and be able to articulate the financial targets.
  • Establish and maintain realistic budgets and identify ways to improve profitability and manage cost controls effectively.
  • To demonstrate an up to date and in depth understanding of the industry.
  • Identify business opportunities that have the greatest potential return on investment and are consistent with the company goals and brand.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have proven previous experience managing a large, structured team in a high paced, high volume restaurant.
  • You'll lead by example, inspiring and mentoring your team to work as one and making sure morale and welfare stay as high as the standard of service at all times.
  • You have the confidence to go the extra mile.
  • You love to wow guests with exceptional service.
  • You have excellent English language skills.
