Responsibilities
- Despatch Planning: Coordinate and schedule daily despatch activities to meet delivery deadlines, managing efficient transportation of goods.
- Order Fulfilment: Verify and cross‑check outgoing shipments against customer orders and documentation; ensure all goods are labelled, packaged and meet quality standards before despatch.
- Communication: Liaise with customers, carriers and internal teams to confirm delivery requirements, address queries and provide regular updates on schedules or delays.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists and delivery notes; ensure compliance with legal, safety and regulatory requirements for domestic and international shipments.
- Inventory Coordination: Work closely with stores staff to manage stock levels, allocate inventory for despatch, and report discrepancies or damage.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as delivery times, accuracy and customer satisfaction; identify areas for process improvement to enhance despatch efficiency.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively address and resolve issues such as delivery delays, incorrect shipments or carrier disputes; develop contingency plans to minimise disruptions.
