One Wild Team

The Role

An historic hub at the heart of the community, the Burrs of Tongue is an iconic building, and home to Alba Bakery. Alba Bakery is a small, considered bakery and café serving excellent coffee, freshly baked goods, and a carefully curated retail offer. Part of Wildland's wider work in Sutherland, the bakery is rooted in place, designed to feel calm, warm, and genuinely useful for both the local community and those travelling through the north. We are building something simple and long-term, with quality, consistency, and care at its core and are looking to build our team to support this vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee and hot drinks to a high standard
  • Welcome customers and provide warm, efficient service
  • Operate the till and handle transactions accurately
  • Present and restock baked goods and retail products
  • Maintain a clean, calm, and well organised front of house
  • Support opening and closing routines
  • Learn and communicate product knowledge (ingredients, allergens, suppliers)
  • Work closely with the bakery team to maintain service flow

Who you are

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural host attentive to discrete needs and proactive in going above and beyond in creating a memorable customer experience. Your experience will be in hospitality with you able to demonstrate time as an approachable team player, with previous café experience being beneficial.
