Key Responsibilities
- We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician specialised in servicing and maintaining grease traps.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of grease traps, primarily in commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, and food processing facilities.
- This role involves working away from home, including weekends, and on call shifts.
- You will be provided with a company vehicle, tools, and full training.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of grease traps in various commercial establishments.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with grease traps and associated plumbing systems.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, including after hours and weekends.
- Utilise company provided van to travel to different job sites (private use not permitted).
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including completed work orders and inventory usage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Attend customer sites, inform customers of arrival, and identify grease trap systems.
Key Requirements
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment.
- Comfortable with foul odours commonly associated with grease traps and faulty plumbing.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations and work overtime as needed.
- Availability to work irregular hours, weekends, and on call shifts.
- Possession of a valid, clean driving license for at least 2 years.
- Previous experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer focused mindset.
