We have a new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Fee Earner to join our successful Residential department. Based at our newly renovated open-plan Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be joining our largest department made up of 34 colleagues, who work across our two office sites.

About the role

Our Residential department has an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a first-class service to our clients. The duties will be varied and rewarding and will include:

  • Managing a mixed case load of sale, purchase and Buy to Let residential properties, leasehold matters, help and right to buy schemes, new build property purchase and sales, mortgages/re-mortgages, shared ownership and affordable housing, and transfer of equity.
  • Providing effective communication and excellent customer care to clients at each stage of their journey.
  • Taking an active role in business development, to support building professional relationships and growing our client base.

About you

  • A minimum 1 year’s experience in a fee earning role.
  • Whilst ideally candidates will be a qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive / Licensed Conveyancer, we will consider non-qualified candidates who meet our experience requirements.
  • Prior experience of managing a busy and varied residential property caseload.
  • Knowledge of the legal aspects of residential transactions, including Freehold and Leasehold, new build transactions including reviewing TP1s, and using the Land Registry Portal and lender portals would be advantageous.
  • The ability to travel to the firm's Stockton on Tees office on an occasional basis, in line with the needs of the business.
