What the role will involve
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Use of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the test of product.
- Use electronic systems to track repairs and update correctly.
- Check assemblies meet quality standards and seek advice from supervisor or Manufacturing Engineer as necessary.
- Work with other cell members using lean manufacturing techniques and participate in lean production activities.
- Work to daily targets, in line with customer requirements.
- Work to defined processes and work instructions.
- Assist supervisors, undertaking any reasonable task as directed.
What you'll bring
Role requires the following experience and skills:
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
- Keen interest in soldering, repair or rework
- Interest in manufacturing and repair principles
Desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in soldering
- Work completed to IPC 7711/7721 standard with option of in house training
- Previous experience in repair or rework
- Knowledge of 5S+1 principles
- Experience in continuous improvement
