As a Family Support Practitioner, you will provide essential information, advice, and guidance to expectant parents and families with children up to the age of 19 (or 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Your role will ensure families receive the right support at the right time, from conception until their child reaches adulthood.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Deliver and review a variety of family support services, including one-to-one support and evidence-based parenting programmes.
  • Conduct structured family assessments and create support plans to address the unique needs of families.
  • Act as the lead professional for families requiring additional support, coordinating a tailored package of services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work flexibly across various venues, including family homes and community settings.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or an equivalent qualification.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with children and families, demonstrating your commitment to their well being.
  • Knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and the importance of early intervention.

  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and assessment abilities.
  • A high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care.
