Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a respected and expanding law firm on a permanent, full-time basis in Tamworth, Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and personable Family Lawyer to become part of a friendly and progressive Family Law team, managing a broad caseload of privately funded family matters while contributing to the ongoing success and development of the department.

The successful candidate will handle their own caseload with minimal supervision, deliver high-quality legal advice to clients, and work closely with colleagues within a collaborative and supportive environment. The Role

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including:

  • Divorce and dissolution proceedings
  • Financial settlements and ancillary relief matters
  • Child arrangements and parental disputes
  • Cohabitation and separation agreements
  • Domestic abuse and injunction applications
  • Advocacy at hearings, negotiations, and mediations
  • Providing clear, empathetic, and commercially focused advice to clients
  • Supporting the wider team and assisting junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Assisting with business development and networking activities
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and file management procedures

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in Family Law. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing a privately funded family caseload independently
  • Strong client care and communication skills
  • Confidence handling sensitive family matters with professionalism and empathy
  • Advocacy and negotiation experience
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
  • Commercial awareness and interest in business development
  • The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous
  • Membership of Resolution would be beneficial but is not essential
