The role involves providing day-to-day support to solicitors and fee earners on a range of private family matters. The successful candidate will assist with cases involving divorce, financial remedies, private children matters and general family law applications.
Responsibilities include:
- preparing and managing case files;
- drafting correspondence and court documents;
- liaising with clients, counsel, courts and external professionals;
- ensuring files are maintained in accordance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
The job requires sensitivity, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload within a busy department.
Candidate Minimum of 1 year experience as a paralegal within a legal practice. Previous experience in family law desirable but not essential; full support and training will be provided. The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, a good standard of legal drafting, a professional and empathetic approach to client care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, manage deadlines and handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion. A genuine interest in family law and a willingness to learn and develop within this area are key requirements.
