Royal Greenwich Trust School is looking to appoint a dedicated and professional Facilities Officer to join our inclusive and forward-thinking school community. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic, hands-on individual to join a small but highly productive team within a growing and ambitious secondary school, committed to making a real difference for our students and staff.

As a Facilities Officer, you will:

  • Play a vital role in ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, compliant and well maintained, supporting a positive environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Deliver a wide range of facilities services including reactive and planned maintenance, porterage, minor repairs, janitorial support, and room, event and sports set ups.
  • Act as a keyholder, supporting site security and fire safety, including opening and closing the site, responding to emergencies, and monitoring access, parking and alarms.
  • Promote high standards of health, safety and safeguarding, working with contractors and colleagues to ensure compliance with Trust policies and statutory requirements.
  • Work flexibly as part of a supportive facilities team, using the CAFM system to respond to requests, liaise with staff and service providers, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Trust.

Hours of work will vary according to the rota system. Royal Greenwich Trust School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS Check. In accordance with our Company Policies and KCSIE guidelines set out by the Department for Education, a background check will be carried out on your online digital presence.
