We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide first‑class support to the Managing Director of Stagecoach South West. Based at our Exeter office, this is a pivotal role at the heart of our regional leadership team, and a great opportunity to work at the centre of a business that keeps the South West moving.
You'll be the MD's trusted right hand, managing diaries, coordinating travel, preparing briefings, and making sure every day runs smoothly. You'll handle sensitive information with discretion, build strong relationships across the business, and be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Managing a complex and fast‑moving diary, scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and keeping the MD focused on what matters most.
- Coordinating travel, accommodation, and logistics for internal and external engagements.
- Drafting, proofreading, and preparing high‑quality correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Acting as a key liaison between the MD and senior stakeholders across the business and externally.
- Organising and supporting leadership meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions.
- Managing expenses, purchase orders, and other administrative processes.
- Handling confidential matters with complete discretion and professionalism.
- Supporting ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as required by the leadership team.
- Proven experience as a PA, EA, or senior administrator, ideally supporting a senior leader in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident drafting correspondence and presenting information clearly.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy, handling sensitive and confidential information as a matter of course.
- A positive, can‑do attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Experience in transport, logistics, or a similarly complex operational environment would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
