As part of our Events team you will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience for event days at our clients' prestigious venue. Our event staff work hard to provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff, all whilst maintaining extremely high levels of customer service. You will have the opportunity to work at a wide variety of events held in the impressively transformed 10,000 square feet old railway station building throughout the year. Events at Manchester Central Convention Complex take place seven days a week, giving access to a range of early, daytime and late shifts at varying lengths, as well as opportunities across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general guidance to the public and monitor crowds.
  • Conduct searching upon ingress, using both physical techniques and the client's access control screening technology.
  • Support the venue to adhere to its licensing conditions.
  • Monitor live event spaces, patrolling and controlling access into certain areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Flexible and reliable.
  • Valid SIA license, Door Supervisor level or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for working with the public.
  • Friendly, approachable and professional manner.
  • Previous experience in stewarding, security or customer care.
  • Willing to undertake in house training programmes.
  • Based in the Manchester area.
