Production Operator - Manufacturing
Responsible for operating manufacturing line/machinery, monitoring production processes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient workflow on the manufacturing line. Ensures safe operation, meets daily output targets and contributes to a clean, organised working environment. Operating 24/7 we have vacancies on our night shift producing products in our Terram range: 1800 to 0600 on a four on / four off pattern. Night shift attracts an additional premium. The post code for our site is CM9 4GG and is not served by rail or good bus links for the above shift patterns so you will need to be a driver with access to a vehicle if you do not live locally.
Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to work instructions and safety procedures.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring output meets required specification and quality standards.
- Complete in-process quality checks and accurately record data.
- Carry out basic machine adjustments and report defects or issues promptly.
- Support line changeovers, material loading/unloading, and housekeeping tasks.
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve production issues.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe operating practices.
- Achieve daily production targets and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical understanding beneficial.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- Must be technically minded and able to understand production procedures, hold computer skills, and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Written and oral communication skills are essential along with the ability to interact at different levels of the organisation.

Qualifications
- Must be mobile, willing to work shift patterns which includes weekends and occasional overtime when required.
- Education (Degree/Major): GCSE's minimum requirement.
- Certifications: Forklift license is desirable but not essential (can be provided).
- Work Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Language: Fully fluent in English - speaking, reading and writing.
