Join our award‑winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Esher Manor Care Home in Surrey.
Responsibilities
As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, you will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social well‑being.
Other responsibilities include
- Maintaining a safe living and working environment and contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
- Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
- Supporting ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
- Establishing links with the local community (e. g., schools, spiritual groups, museums, libraries) to encourage wider community access and promote intergenerational activity.
Qualifications
- Have a clean driving record and be able to drive a minibus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well‑being of people.
- Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
- Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
- Answer ADBS Disclosure check, cost covered by the employer, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
