About the Role

An East Anglian based printer is searching for a Production Director to ensure that staff members meet production needs while producing a high-quality product for the customer. Overseeing all aspects of production policies, objectives, and initiatives, you will schedule and ensure proper utilisation of facilities and personnel for production. This position requires a highly-skilled, organised, detail‑orientated, self‑motivated, flexible individual to work within strict deadlines in a challenging, fast‑paced environment. Working closely with the production manager, you will ensure expectations are met on timeliness, quality and profitability, safeguarding the reputation of the client from design to delivery. Your wealth of experience will come in handy when required to troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the production process. Being successful in this role will depend heavily on a strong commercial acumen and financial understanding. A key expectation for this role is to adopt best practices in all areas to drive efficiency and enable new product opportunities. You will initiate lean manufacturing plans and processes which minimise costs through effective utilisation of manpower, equipment, facilities and materials.
