Are you a passionate English Teacher with a strong background in supporting students with special educational needs? Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a motivated and adaptable English Teacher to join a dedicated SEN school in Enfield. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic term.
This welcoming school caters for students with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD, and complex learning difficulties, and is seeking a teacher who can bring creativity, empathy, and structure to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging Functional Skills and entry-level English lessons to students with additional needs.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and EHCP targets.
- Work closely with support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation using positive and consistent approaches.
- Track and monitor progress, ensuring students achieve their full potential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS preferred) - unqualified teachers with strong SEN experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience teaching in SEN or alternative provision settings.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, patient and resilient attitude.
- Ability to engage reluctant learners and make learning accessible.
- A supportive SLT and experienced team of SEN professionals.
- Onsite training and continuous professional development opportunities.
- A nurturing environment focused on student wellbeing and achievement.
