An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employee Relations Partner to join the Employee Relations team at our Bristol site.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the Employee Relations (ER) plan for the Bristol site in partnership with business leadership, people teams and Trade Union representatives.
  • Collaborate with other Employee Relations Partners, Senior Employees and the Head of ER based in Derby and elsewhere.
  • Align workplace practices with company, employee, business and legislative requirements to maximise performance and productivity.
  • Provide business‑focussed, pragmatic workplace solutions to improve working arrangements, support standardisation and create a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Work with Trade Union representatives to support the change agenda and advise on activities requiring collective engagement.
  • Liaise with legal representatives to keep risk to a minimum and support statutory consultation relationships that ensure good employee relations and legal compliance.
  • Work closely with the people teams across Bristol to understand their requirements and support issues within their client group.
Preferred Requirements
  • Strong experience in frontline trade union relations and a history of successfully driving change in unionised environments.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, consultative and advisory skills with awareness of HR generalist issues.
  • Well‑developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influence across all levels.
  • Broad change‑management skills and the ability to apply project‑management principles to deliver and support organisational change.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a regional and UK team.
  • Capacity to provide support on multiple activities and understand the impact of employment law on the wider HR and business agenda with a pragmatic, commercial and results‑orientated approach.
