The Role:
The job holder has responsibility for the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar and outdoor Terraces. Reporting to the F&B Manager your main duties include:
- Managing a Permanent & Casual team of 6 + bar staff
- Completing monthly beverage stocktake and weekly ordering sheet
- Always ensure personal presentation of staff, both in terms of uniform and personal presentation/hygiene
- Ensure the bar is opened and closed according to SOP's
- Creating and developing seasonal cocktail & beverage menus
- Achievement of Mystery Guest & AA Standards for the department
- Lead by example in achieving and implementing hotel key standards
- Presentation of front and back of house areas - cleanliness/layup to SOP standard
- Ensure effective induction and training plans of all new starters
- Train, coach, and mentor the bar team to ensure excellent performance, and motivation of team at all times
- Ensure the team is briefed daily for any special service requirements, promotions, issues
- Liaise with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to develop and improve bar service offering to guests and visitors
Requirements:
- 42 hours per week, various shifts over 5 days including weekends
- Smart appearance and the passion and confidence to lead the team
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
- Ability to host with a warm and welcoming personality
- Supervisory/management Experience within a quality bar operation ideally within a 4 star/5 Star rated Hotel preferred
- Ability to manage and motivate the team
- Must have your own transport due to semi-rural location
