To support the work of the London Breast Screening Administrative Hub team by accurate, efficient and timely execution of essential operational activities that support the Hub Call centre and all related administration functions, under the lead of the Office Manager/Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager.

Main duties of the job:

  • To deliver on the administration function related to the call centre including a close collaboration with external breast screening services within the Pan London structure.
  • To liaise closely with Administration Team Leaders to ensure integration of functions and facilitate the provision of cover for periods of short-term absence.
  • To be fully competent in all administration functions required by the London Breast Screening Administrative Hub.
  • To deliver support services that is in line with the Trust and NHS Breast Screening Programme guidelines and targets.
  • To work within a shift pattern including weekends and late evenings to cover the Hub telephone call centre and admin tasks.

Person Specification:

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent.
  • Key skills level 2 in Literacy or equivalent.
  • Experience of dealing sensitively with client/patient concerns in emotive and distressing circumstances.
  • Experience of undertaking detailed, intensive work in a busy administrative environment.
  • Experience of using information technology such as Word and Excel in work-related activities.
  • Demonstrate awareness of issues around confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft systems including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Supervisory and administrative training experience.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
