Responsibilities

  • BNG Baseline surveys and UK Habitat classification
  • Site surveys for Bat Roost Assessment / Ground Level Tree Assessment and report writing
  • Arboricultural climbing for bats
  • Site survey for Preliminary Ecological Appraisal including habitat assessment, vascular plant listings, habitat mapping and DEFRA mapping reviews
  • Non-native vascular plant identification and eradication plans
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statement
  • Client management
  • Ensuring accurate reviews of MAGIC/ALERC data
  • Ecological report writing
  • BNG metric
  • CPD events

Areas of understanding

  • Detailed understanding of modern ecological surveys and techniques, seasonality of surveys, vascular plant and habitat ID
  • Customer response management
  • International Standards of Operation (ISO). Understanding of policy, procedure, applicability to business needs. Incident management. Training matrix. Document control.
