Are you committed to giving children the best start in life? We are looking for an experienced Early Years Deputy Manager to support in leading our experienced Tunbridge Wells nursery team. This role will ensure the highest standards of care and education for children are applied, alongside being an exciting opportunity to shape a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

As Early Years Deputy Manager you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by offering them the very best care and education using our unique curriculum "Where Children Shine". You will also support your room-based colleagues, by observing, mentoring and delivering best practice and regulatory compliance. You will gain valuable experience in the commercial running of the nursery, by supporting the Early Years Manager to manage parent enquiries, tours and enrolments, budget management, staff rostering, and recruitment, staff performance and wellbeing.

About the role:

  • Support the Early Years Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and EYFS standards.
  • Help to lead, motivate, and develop the team of practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare.
  • Support the Early Years Manager to manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the local community.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children.

About you:

  • Holds a Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
  • Has proven leadership experience in an early-years setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
  • Is organised, approachable, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
  • Has strong communication and people skills.
