Join Kids Planet Swinton as an Early Years Apprentice! We're now looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team, someone who's ready to get stuck in, spark imaginations, and help children thrive. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will be enrolled on to a training programme through the Kids Planet Training Academy to gain a qualification in Early Years.

How you'll make a difference as an Early Years Apprentice:

  • By learning how to support, care for, and inspire children during their earliest years, from birth to age five.
  • Through learning how to ensure the safeguarding of children in your care.
  • By learning how to work as part of a successful team.
  • Through working to build warm, trusting relationships with families through kind, open communication.
  • Through liaising with parents on matters relating to the most important person in their world.

What an Early Years Apprentice needs:

  • To meet minimum apprenticeship eligibility criteria, including having lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • To pass maths and English entry assessments.
  • As a guide, Level 2 apprenticeships take approximately 15 months to complete, and Level 3 apprenticeships take approximately 18 months to complete.

Kids Planet is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.
