Our Operations Support Technicians take care of a variety of operational needs as the team is trained in fulfilling the responsibilities of our Sample Processing operations as well as Shipping operations, and occasional customer interaction when needed. Operations Support Technicians are professional, helpful and provide exceptional quality that consistently exceeds the customer's expectations. Ensuring accuracy when entering information and processing samples, fulfilling orders with the correct contents and sending the orders out on time are the main purpose of this role.
Essential Functions
- Performs duties as a Sample Processing Technician Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3
- Data entry of new accounts and equipment
- Performs duties of a Shipping Clerk L1-L3
- Documenting Customer Complaints including root cause analysis and long-term solutions
- Occasionally interacts with customers, management, and staff regarding accounts
- Assist with Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and Work Instructions (WI) development
- Cross train and assist in other departments, when needed
- Additional duties as required by management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Wearing of personal protective equipment as required
- Ability to work in a team environment

- High School Diploma or equivalent
Safety Requirements
OSHA laws require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety. At POLARIS Laboratories, when going through the Laboratory it is required that you wear eye protection. International laboratories must follow their local laws and guidelines. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. POLARIS Laboratories provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager. To ensure safety throughout the facility, all employees are required to maintain up to date HAZMAT, OSHA (or the local laws and guidelines for international labs), RCRA, Methylene Chloride, and General Laboratory Safety training as defined within the POLARIS Quality System.
