Role Overview: Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager, you will help lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds customer expectations and benefits the local community.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager to lead the store team in following store policies, standards and practices.
- Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders, including keyholder duties.
- Act as a positive role model and represent the company values.
- Train, manage workload and support your team, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to deliver the best customer experience.
- Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance by understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
- Promote and participate in community initiatives alongside the store team.
- Cover the Post Office when required as part of the role.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be aged 18 years or over and have previous retail experience, including at least 6 months at a supervisory level leading a customer focused team.
- Strong listening, interaction and communication skills with customers and team members.
- Target driven mindset to help the store achieve its business plans and focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to inspire others to perform at their best for each other and the customer.
