Richmond House Vets, part of the supportive Gatehouse Veterinary Group, are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a sole-charge role, working alongside and mentoring a new graduate vet as we move into an exciting new chapter. We're relocating to a brand-new, purpose-built site near Mirfield, with modern theatres, dental suite, digital x-ray, and separate species wards, giving you the facilities to practise high-quality, enjoyable medicine.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet who enjoys autonomy but values support. You'll:

  • Work in sole charge, with the support of an RVN-led team
  • Mentor and support a new graduate vet, helping them grow in confidence
  • Help shape clinical standards and protocols within the practice
  • Be involved in working towards PSS General Practice compliance

You’ll never feel isolated - you'll have clinical support, training, and guidance from the wider Gatehouse Veterinary Group, including experienced vets and an award-winning leadership team recognised for outstanding PSS performance.

The Ideal Person

  • An experienced small animal vet, comfortable in sole charge
  • Supportive, approachable, and happy to mentor a new graduate
  • Passionate about good medicine, teamwork, and client care

Hours

40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8am-1pm
