If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Deputy Store Manager (Stock & Process). This is a pivotal leadership role where you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the Store operates safely, efficiently and compliantly while delivering outstanding stock availability and operational standards for our customers. You will lead from the front, develop high-performing teams and play a key role in driving operational success across the Store.

The Role

As Deputy Store Manager (Stock & Process), you will take ownership of key operational areas including stock management, process compliance, health & safety and inventory accuracy, ensuring the Store consistently delivers excellent standards and commercial performance. You will:

  • Lead and inspire colleagues to deliver exceptional operational standards
  • Support the Store Manager in driving a safe, compliant and highly efficient Store operation
  • Ensure excellent stock availability through effective stock management and process control
  • Oversee deliveries, warehouse operations and back-of-house processes to maximise customer availability
  • Drive inventory accuracy through stock counts, investigations and operational audits
  • Ensure all operational tasks, compliance checks and store processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead by example in maintaining excellent health & safety and housekeeping standards
  • Coach, mentor and develop colleagues to build a strong and engaged team
  • Support recruitment, training, succession planning and colleague development
  • Oversee key operational areas including cash office processes, price changes and payroll administration
  • Deputise for the Store Manager when required and confidently lead the Store operation

  • Experience within a retail supervisory or management role
