We are currently recruiting for a Demi Chef de Partie at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. Hand Picked Hotels' 4 AA Red Star L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa is situated in the scenic location of St. Brelade's Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in Jersey. With 106 bedrooms and The Grill restaurant offering panoramic ocean views, L'Horizon is the ideal setting for a romantic getaway or an idyllic coastal wedding. The spa includes six treatment rooms, a relaxation area, a pedicure and manicure area, and a sleep room.

About the Role

Our Demi Chef de Partie enjoys being part of a team and loves the fact that no day is the same. You will be running a busy section, already be able to cook to a high standard, and have the ability to help impart your knowledge to junior chefs. All of our hotels are individual in their own way, just like our Chefs. Whether it's filleting or frying, you'll know your way around a kitchen like the back of your hand and have a mind full of delicious creations ready to wow our guests.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Current base knowledge and experience of the kitchen within a quality driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities, adopting a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the kitchen as business and guest needs dictate.
  • Ability to impart knowledge to the junior members of the team.
  • Keep up to date with the latest culinary trends and have a desire to learn the next big thing.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, enabling anticipation of our guests' needs to ensure they receive a Hand Picked experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver our guest experience standards at Hand Picked Hotels, going above and beyond to ensure guests have a high quality, personalised, and memorable experience.

  • This is a full time role working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
