The Delivery Partner Manager is an equal parts advisor and operating partner to Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). Amazon's team of Delivery Partner Managers assist and guide our DSP business owners as they build and grow successful last mile package delivery businesses within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). They help launch new businesses, lead continuous improvement, and ensure DSP owners excel in safety, compliance, performance, and capacity. The role is field based, requires frequent travel across multiple sites, and involves flexible working hours, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts to support DSP owners on a weekly basis.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with OTR Safety and Regional Managers to ensure safety compliance.
- Guide owners as they scale their business and manage operational issues, ensuring resources are in place for ramp up and peak periods.
- Support owners onboarding to the program and preparing for launch (net new launch only).
- Coach and ensure effective up skilling and utilisation of AMZL tools.
- Deep dive to identify customer metric improvement opportunities.
- Champion consistent application of last mile processes within Delivery Stations, challenging UTR processes that impact OTR.
- Coach business owners to run compliant, safe, and high performing companies (SLS metric deep dive).
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and formulate and implement operational improvements at the network level to improve the DSP owner experience.
- Develop the relationship between Amazon and DSP partners to improve DSP sentiment.
- Align communication with DSP owners following close collaboration with OTR partners.
- Advocate for DSPs within the AMZL business.
- Improve driver standards to protect brand image.
- Work with DSPs to deliver effective ramp plans and pipeline goals, ensuring driver supply meets peak volume demands.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders and collaborating across teams and functions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field.
- Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent.
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors or in reliability/maintenance environments.
- Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak season.
- Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in account management or managing customer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using analytical, account management, and productivity tools (e.g., Oracle Business Intelligence, Salesforce, Tableau).
- Knowledge of general AI tools.
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver measurable results in an agile environment.
