Customer Service Assistant based at Edinburgh Waverley. Join the team to assist with catering supply and customer service procedures, ensuring a safe and effective workplace for teams and customers.
Responsibilities- Assist with catering supply and customer service procedures, ensuring a safe and effective workplace.
- Pick and transport catering orders from the Service Centre to trains, ensuring all orders are fulfilled and delivered on time.
- Carry out temperature checks, cleaning, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Answer customer enquiries and assist customers to trains.
- Ensure trains have the correct stock on board, sign for deliveries of catering products, manage stock rotation, refresh and deliver pump pot to trains.
- Keep customers and other Train Operating Companies informed of any service changes, especially during disruptions.
The role covers shifts across 7 days with hours between 04:45 and 19:30. Sunday shifts are rostered if coverage is needed.
Qualifications- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience working shifts.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (training will be provided).
- Ability to handle difficult situations.
- Quick thinking and ability to think on the feet.
- Experience meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Experience working in logistics (not essential).
- IT literate.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a medical examination & substance abuse screening and a DBS check.
