Fennies is a family owned and family run provider of early years education. We are looking for a confident, caring Room Leader to manage a room of up to 20 children and inspire the teaching team to deliver world class learning experiences.
About the Role
As a Room Leader you will lead the day to day running of your room, ensuring high quality care and education, and create a positive, inspiring environment for children and staff alike. You will mentor and support your team, plan and implement engaging learning experiences in line with EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters, build strong partnerships with families, maintain safeguarding, health and safety compliance, and monitor children's progress.
You Will:
- Lead the daily running of your room, ensuring high quality care and education.
- Inspire and support the team to deliver outstanding early years practice.
- Plan and implement engaging learning experiences in line with EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters.
- Build strong partnerships with families and maintain open communication.
- Act as a role model for best practice, guiding the team through feedback and professional development.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and compliance.
- Monitor children's progress and support their individual learning journeys.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, Birth to 5 Matters and child development.
- Experience working in an early years setting, ideally as a room leader.
- A track record of delivering high standards of care and education.
- Experience of strong practice as a Key Person and implementing safeguarding, health and safety, first aid and critical care policies.
- Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary up to £33,000 plus up to £1,500 performance related bonus.
- Bonus potential: up to an additional £1,500.
- 4 day or 5 day working week options with a minimum of 37 hours per week; hours between 7:45 am 5 pm and 8 am 6 pm.
- 20 days annual leave (increases by 1 day per year of service up to 25) plus bank holidays.
