We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our South London team at Thames Water as a Night Network Service Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Taking personal ownership of customer queries and responding to and resolving issues at their homes or places of work.
- Collaborating with contractors to do planned and unplanned work and investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance, including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries and loss of supply out in the field.
- Helping to control burst mains, ensuring isolation to facilitate planned work, emergency repairs and maintenance.
- Looking after valve operations, water sampling and valve checks and planning.
- Driving between jobs; the ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence.
Base Location & Working Pattern:
- Base Location: Stroud Green - Croydon - CR0 8YY.
- Working Pattern: Night shifts (Monday‑Sunday) 20:00‑06:30, with day shifts (Monday‑Friday) required during the six‑month training period.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or utilities‑based environment.
- Excellent customer service experience within a constantly changing environment.
- Can‑do and positive attitude.
- Initiative‑taking and initiative‑driven.
- Assured of completing tasks to the best of your ability.
- Excellent time management.
- Solution‑focused attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains and leakage is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
