High Secure Services at Broadmoor Hospital are looking for Clinical Nurse Managers. Two full time permanent positions and one 6 month secondment are available. These roles require clinically credible, emotionally resilient leaders capable of delivering high quality patient care within the clinical nursing practice standards, ensuring safe, anti discriminatory environments and promoting patient involvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead high quality patient care, implementing the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Ensure safe, culturally sensitive and recovery oriented environment for patients.
  • Engage staff in therapeutic work and maintain a high standard of clinical competence through comprehensive assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence based care.
  • Facilitate regular clinical supervision and personal & professional development for nursing staff.
  • Work in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications and Training

  • Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council as a Nurse (RN3, RNMH, RN4, RN5, RN6, RNLD).
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • ENB 770 or equivalent.
  • ENB 998 or 45.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • NVQ assessor.
  • Relevant post registration health care and/or management qualifications.

Experience

  • Two years' experience as Band 6 in mental health care inpatient services.
  • Experience providing management supervision.
  • Experience as Primary Nurse.
  • Experience leading team building.
  • Experience teaching/developing nurses.

Knowledge

  • Good leadership skills.
  • Ability to deal with complex inter related information and activities.
  • Excellent team player and ability to facilitate partnership working.
  • Budget and resource management understanding.
  • Provide innovative practice role model through personal actions.
  • Competent in receiving and providing clinical supervision.
  • Facilitates contributions from all staff.
  • Encourages innovation.
  • Create a climate and environment where staff feel valued and empowered.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Displays perseverance and tenacity to achieve results, including problem solving and influencing skills.

Salary

£61,524 to £68,652 per annum inclusive of allowances.
