Responsibilities

  • You will manage a full caseload of Court of Protection (welfare) matters, providing clear legal advice, strong client care, and effective communication with vulnerable clients and stakeholders.
  • The appointed Solicitor will support wider community care, housing, and public law work as needed, including handling correspondence, negotiations, advocacy, and ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements.
  • You will contribute to a growing and highly regarded Social Welfare team by maintaining accurate case management, staying up to date with legal developments, and assisting with supervision and administrative processes where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Applications are open to qualified solicitors or legal executives with a minimum of one year experience in Court of Protection (welfare) law, including experience acting for “P” via litigation friends or family members in proceedings.
  • The firm is looking for lawyers with knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS, with desirable experience in privately funded work, alongside excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
