Select Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Norwich for a Night Shift Manufacturing Operative. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing manufacturing business, working within a dedicated night shift team producing high-quality window systems. The role offers stable, full-time hours, ongoing training, and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and professional environment.

As a Manufacturing Operative, you will be involved in the fabrication, assembly, finishing, and quality inspection of products, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately measure and prepare materials to specification
  • Operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
  • Assemble and fabricate window frames and associated components
  • Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process
  • Check finished products for correct dimensions, alignment, and overall quality
  • Package and label completed products ready for storage or dispatch
  • Load and unload materials and finished goods as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Follow production procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements
  • Support the wider production team with general manufacturing duties
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Ability to work safely with hand tools and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to follow instructions and work towards production targets
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Full training will be provided for the right candidate

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 17:00 - 04:00. Enjoy a three-day weekend every week, with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off.

Pay

£12.81 per hour. Pay rate increases following successful completion of the probationary period and training.
