An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lifeguard/Sports Assistant to join the Sportspark and be responsible for lifeguarding the pool, supervising and maintaining the indoor and outdoor dry-side facilities of the complex, ensuring a safe, quality environment for our customers at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Lifeguarding and undertaking poolside duties.
- Setting up, putting down and maintaining equipment.
- Supporting reception during busy periods.
- Undertaking cleaning, maintenance and administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- A good standard of secondary education or experience in a directly relevant role.
- RLSS NPLQ and First Aid at Work Certificate (or ability to achieve within three months of appointment).
- Competent swimmer with experience in providing customer service.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience of working in the leisure industry, being responsible for dry-side facilities and an interest in sport activities is beneficial.
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Vulnerable Adult Barred Lists. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or vulnerable adults. This post is based in UEA Sportspark, University of East Anglia, Norwich, Norfolk, UK. The vacancy is not eligible for VISA sponsorship; you must hold or be able to obtain the right to work in the UK to undertake this role.
