The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

The apprentice will be doing the following tasks on site:

  • Operates own tractor and equipment in line with service and maintenance schedules.
  • Topping, muck spreading, mucking out cattle sheds (using teleporter).
  • Bale carting.
  • Harvest work.
  • Livestock support - less husbandry, more machine operations.
  • Spraying (once qualified).

The role includes working on your own at times and operating farm vehicles on the road (minimum age 18). Long hours are expected.

Restrictions include:

  • Must be minimum 18 to drive teleporter on UK roads.
  • Live within a reasonable distance of the Farm.
  • Have own transport and be able to travel to and from Norwich and Dereham.

The apprentice will need:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Own transport.
  • A passion for Farming.

Candidate requirements:

This role will involve working in all weather conditions and is physically demanding with long hours. The candidate must be physically fit, have a good level of numeracy and literacy, and be able to communicate well. They should gain satisfaction from doing a job well and not cutting corners, thrive by placing the team before themselves, and feel rewarded by hard work.

The farm manages 1,800 hectares of land, part-owned, part-tenanted and part-contracted. It is primarily a cereals and arable enterprise, but also has a flock of 1,200 ewes and over 100 Red Poll cattle.
