A highly respected law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its top-ranked Corporate Tax team. This is a rare opportunity to work with a market leading group of tax specialists, including solicitors, chartered accountants and tax advisors, supporting complex, high value transactions across corporate, commercial, and property sectors.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment known for technical excellence, innovation, and a strong commitment to professional development and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Advise on a broad range of UK and Scottish tax issues, including:
    • Tax structuring for corporate acquisitions, disposals and reconstructions
    • Drafting and negotiating transactional tax documentation
    • Advising on SDLT / LBTT / VAT and general property tax matters
    • Supporting the design and implementation of employee share incentive arrangements
    • Advising on Scottish income tax and wider employment tax considerations
    • Contributing to client updates, seminars, and internal training
    • Providing standalone tax planning support and advisory services

This role offers exposure to a varied client base and the chance to work closely with other leading practice areas across the firm.

About You

  • Some prior experience in tax, gained through practice, study, or qualification (Applicants from non‑legal/accountancy backgrounds will be considered)
  • A genuine interest in tax and a pragmatic, commercial approach
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to tailor advice to client needs
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach to client service and business development
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with developments in tax law
