A leading UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Corporate Regulation team within a highly regarded Commercial Litigation practice. We provide exposure to a broad range of corporate regulatory, data protection and compliance work, with opportunities to work alongside major commercial clients, regulatory bodies and government departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Data protection and privacy compliance, including UK GDPR, ICO guidance, DSARs, data breach response, privacy policies, risk assessments, audits and cross border data issues
- Corporate responsibility and regulatory compliance, supporting clients in navigating evolving governance and compliance obligations
- Government consultations and regulatory reform, including strategic advisory work and lobbying related matters
- Consumer protection and sector regulation, including product safety, advertising standards and related compliance requirements
- Sector specific regulatory advisory work, including matters relating to commercial land, private land, airports, ports and rail
- AI governance and emerging regulatory risk, including the impact of AI on corporate governance frameworks (particularly for senior candidates)
- Reputation management and strategic regulatory support
- Drafting policies, guidance notes and compliance documentation
- Supporting and developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
Senior Level Opportunities
- Lead matters from inception to completion
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
- Support team growth and strategic development
About You
- Qualified solicitor (1–3 PQE Associate / 6+ PQE Senior Associate), although strong candidates outside these ranges will be considered.
- Experience advising on corporate regulation, compliance or data protection matters
- Knowledge of UK GDPR, regulatory frameworks and corporate governance issues
- Experience in consumer regulation, reputation management or risk advisory (desirable)
- Interest in AI regulation and emerging compliance issues (particularly for more senior applicants)
- An interest in business development and relationship building
